When I first started my fitness journey, I was hooked! Nothing was going to keep me from the gym. Not homework, not basketball practice, and not girls (I like to pretend I talked to a lot of girls), because if there was one thing I definitely did not lack...it was motivation. But some things change. After having been in the gym for some years now, my will to continue and give 100% day in, and day out, is in question from time to time.
Don't get it twisted, it's hard for me to go longer than a week without seeing a barbell before my palms get sweaty, but I know how hard it can be to stay motivated throughout the year. Until, I realized, most people look to others for motivation. They look on Instagram at the Steve Cook's and Paige Hathaway's of the world and say to themselves "I can't wait to look like that". But what I want to say here, is never compare your chapter 1 to someone's chapter 10. Be your own motivator, look to yourself and see that what you have accomplished and thrive from it! Personal growth is inspiring, use it to your advantage as something to propel you forward.
In everything you do, look to beat yesterday's you. And I promise the motivation will always be there.
